Getting Started
- Install ShieldVault from the Chrome Web Store.
- Pin the extension from Chrome's Extensions menu.
- Refresh already-open supported tabs after installing or updating.
- Use a harmless test value rather than a real credential when testing.
Common Troubleshooting
ShieldVault is not appearing
Confirm the extension is installed and enabled, pin it from Chrome's Extensions menu, and refresh the supported tab.
A supported field is not being detected
Refresh the page, check that it is a supported site, and make sure ShieldVault is enabled. Custom editors or recently changed layouts may need an extension update.
The extension was recently installed or updated
Refresh each already-open supported tab, then try again with a harmless test value.
License or activation problems
Enter the key exactly as it appears in your purchase email, make sure Chrome can reach shieldvault.site, and use the activation page to check it. Do not email passwords, API keys, recovery phrases, payment details, or other secrets.
Temporarily allow safe content
After reviewing a warning, use its Allow once option if you know the content is safe. This is scoped to that submission.
Privacy and Security
- Detection runs locally in your browser.
- ShieldVault does not store message content or secret values.
- Protection history is metadata-only.
